I applied a lot of pressure but no go. I can see that the bushings are deformed by the spring surround. Removing the spring bushings was quite a chore. Efforts with a drift did nothing, so I decided to try and carefully drill them out. I used a 7/8” bit and a standard Craftsman 3/8” chuck power drill.

I started this process on the rear passenger side bushing. The first thing I noticed was that the bit had a tendency to ‘grab’ the bushing.
